After the success of the Tokens of Kindness booth with students at Iowa State, I took the booth on the road to Des Moines to an audience who isn’t used to interacting with random pop-up booths.
Not many people wanted to interact with me and my booth. People were too busy on their lunch hours to want to stop. Also, the research I did on gift economies said that gift economies and capitalism don’t co-exist, and the skywalk is home to employees of insurance and banking companies. I think that might have influenced the amount of interaction I received.
