As I began to explore how design could be used to bring different groups of people together, I developed this interactive piece that would create ridiculous pairings of words from two different groups of people. I tested this with the design and agriculture students on campus because animosity exists between them historically.
The words used in the following documentary are from actual stereotypes I received in a survey of design and agriculture students. Both sets of students came together to view this and a positive experience came from the interaction.
I had planned to take this piece to a larger scale audience, but decided that a one-point, on-screen interaction was not a big enough impact. I wanted to create more positivity than this piece allowed.
Instead, I made a mockumentary introducing Shareotypes.
