I met the owner of Nutty Butter, LLC at Blend Retreat in 2012. She had been creating interesting flavors of nut butter, and was writing her labels by hand. The volume of orders was beginning to get larger, and she had interest from an investor, so she approached me to help her come up with a logo. I ended up creating an entire identity system for her from the logo. My concept was to create a logo as creative and fun as her personality, which comes out in each of her unique Nutty Butter flavors. I created a broader-than-conventional color palette for the brand, so that each flavor could have its own scheme, but look cohesive as a group. I also created several patterns to use with the system by using pieces of the logo. The result is a cohesive system, which the client can easily use to promote her product.

Nutty Butter logo + usage guide
Nutty Butter business cards with multiple designs for the back. Typically I don't design business cards with backs unless there is a distinct purpose for the back of the card to be used. In this case, the front of the card needed to be clean and readable, and the back of the card was used to reflect the brand personality. These cards can be produced affordably with multiple backside designs on Moo.com.
Examples of labels
Nutty Butter, LLC on Facebook. I wanted to highlight the product itself, so I reversed the logo and the information out of the cover graphic. We decided to use the flavor of the month as the profile image to keep people aware of the monthly flavor change.
Nutty Butter, LLC on Twitter. Again, I chose to showcase the product by using a large closeup photo of it.
