My laptop was out of commission for some time in 2005, but I had an upcoming deadline for an assignment, which was an exploration of grid systems via a poster. As a new designer, I was unfamiliar with analog means of design. Regardless, rather than spend hours in the computer lab, I chose to spend several days creating different poster configurations by hand. These posters are based on experimental grid systems that we were randomly assigned during class. I enjoyed creating these posters so much that I eventually made coordinating tickets and backstage passes. The collage style shown here is exemplary of the best of my undergraduate work, and I still use this voice when appropriate.
