A while back I mentioned that I won a giveaway from Kukoshop in Japan.

I got this awesome package in the mail before the new year. So many cool things inside!

Everything was in this adorable plastic bag with some interesting English translation from Japanese.

I was excited to receive this “Cotton Time” magazine, with tons of projects and templates for projects, but alas, it’s ALL in Japanese.

Travel kleenexes — ohirune time  is “nap time” in Japanese apparently. There was a picture of a cat sleeping on the top pack of kleenexes. I just thought the word “ohirune” was cute.

grape gum or candy — I am afraid to try this. Grape flavor makes me gag.

And the most exciting part? 8 fat quarters of Japanese fabric.

As you all know I participated in Giveaway Day last week and gave away one of my little zippy bags.

Well I also participated by entering a ton of giveaways for cute sewing supplies. And I won a really interesting one from Kukoshop. Kukoshop is the blog/shop of an American named Karen who lives in Japan. She focuses on the theme “cute stuff from afar”.

It’s SewMamaSew’s giveaway day today.

Not the kind of lottery that involves money, unfortunately, but still awesome all the same!

I recently participated in FatQuarterShop.com‘s Jolly Jabber Block Lottery (see my entry here)… and I won!  I get 1/3 of the blocks sent in.

Not sure what I’m going to do with them but I’m sure I’ll come up with something crafty (probably not something approved by the makers of the blocks, but still).

ALSO — on the same day I won Iowa Girl Eats‘s Pure Bar Giveaway.  That means I get to try 4 flavors of Pure bars for free. How cool is that?  I think it’s pretty cool.

Today is the 15th and the day I promised to pick a winner for the giveaway. I’ll be a little late to work today b/c I totally forgot about it until just now, but I would probably have been late anyway.  It happens when you live a block away. You think the walk to work takes 0 mins when it really takes about 5-8.

Today is the big day! Time to pick a winner for the ceramics giveaway.

Since I know most everybody who posted comments, I was worried that if I picked somebody I knew, I’d be biased…but it’s a random number generator, right?  Right. So to be even more random, I decided I’d hit the “generate” button a set amount of times.  I had a post-it note setting on my desk that had measurements for a backing piece for the hello betty quilt I’m making for my mom.  It said 63″ and 72″ and 44″… soooo 63 sounds random, right?? Right.  So 63 clicks later, this is what I got:
