Lazy Sunday
So I really didn’t do anything today. In fact, I only left my apartment once. That was to go get some mugs for an etsy order, but I was unsuccessful because I discovered my car was out of gas, and when I got to the gas station, I realized I was without my wallet. Back home I went.
All I really got accomplished was a few household chores (a little picking up) and painting dishes.
Around noon I found out my best friend left her fiancé, which we’d kind of been talking about, but I didn’t know when or if she would be doing it. Very long story, and I’ll blog about it once things cool down a bit. For now, that’s all I’m going to say. She’s out, and she’s safe. That’s all that really matters.
I finally finished a mug I was making for my friend Adria. She’d asked for a lava flowers mug a while back since she’s a fabricophile — lava flowers is a line of fabric from Michael Miller.
I didn’t take good photos (yes, that’s just how lazy I was today), but here’s what it looks like:
Then I finally got around to starting a tattoo dish set I’ve been meaning to start for a while now. I have 4/16 pieces done. I almost wonder what they would have looked like without color, but I guess that can be my next venture.
The brush lines in the paint will even out as it bakes.
That’s about it. Like I said … not a whole lot accomplished today, but that’s because I decided it would be a great idea to close down the bar last night and go to Perkins for breakfast afterwards. Bleh. Not a bright idea, but I got to catch up with my friends, so that’s good!
